Hunstanton
A figure waits for darkness in a foggy seaside town, before signaling with a torch a message across the empty ocean. Initially appearing to be Morse-code the message is in fact meaningless, morphing what was once an important act of communication into a symbolic action and a seductive image of the qualities of light. By repeating or re-enacting an action specific to the location this performative 'event' creates a disjointed echo of the past.
